Weekly Progress

Monday

• Ordered filters from Thorlab and Semrock have arrived
• Stepper motors had to be exchanged due to an error in specification
• Added BF path for simultaneous imaging using shortpass dichroic for blue LED
• Filter was necessary to eliminate reflection of the laser in the BF image
• Aligned paths and adjust field of view so that BF and fluorescence displayed the same picture

Optics for everything besides the laser completed.

Wednesday

• Meeting with Duo Li, grad student from Fujimoto's lab.
• Collaboration has been established to build the femtosecond laser.
