Interesting -- they have a melting temp of about 85 degrees, with just normal DNA of 536bp length. We should try that. Anyway, my suspicion is that "linear" is a fine model of thermal quenching, and we should de-prioritize thermal quenching investigations.

Zipper et al says linear.
